The National Geographic magazine has been an inspiration ever since a group of us discovered it at a local used-book market in Dhaka – many years ago. I admit the interest in the visits were primarily for ‘accidental peeking’ into ‘dirty’ magazines while we browsed through periodicals of the scientific persuasion, whatever that means.
