Today Was A Tomorrow

by Emon on October 18, 2007

I was watching Anthony Hopkins on Actor’s Studio two nights ago and he said something profound. Two things actually. First being - and paraphrasing - “If I stopped acting today, nothing would stop from getting done…and that’s a great feeling to have. It lets me be free.” And then, “Today is a tomorrow I worried about yesterday.” It’s not like I hadn’t heard them before. I guess I was waiting for Anthony Hopkins to make sense of it. It’s the difference between a regular Joe strumming a chord as opposed to Joe Pass strumming a chord.

How do we make our days count? Do we stop to think why we do the things we do?
