Thanks, LK! It is hard to be a screenwriter in Hollywood - and I mean even if one is established and working.

"Let go and let Spielberg".. hehh heh.

Thank you, Nicole!

Stellar job on this, E! It was interesting to get Dr. Linda's point of view.

I admire her for a myriad of reasons...not just her talent.

The one thing that I think would be difficult (for the egomaniac that I am) would be getting used to the fact ( if that's possible) that once you sell your screenplay, you hand it over and it's for the director and producer to interpret as "THEY SEE" it.

I mean hey--that screenplay is your baby, your creative progeny---your life's blood in print. I don't know if I could handle watching someone perform a hatchet job on my shit.

I guess the eight million dollar check you're given for your efforts helps, but still, I would think it can't be easy. I've never been one to hand off or walk away from anything with my name on it...even the smallest of projects, but I guess if screen writing is your passion, part of that must be the willingness to submit, then release.

Substantial payment takes care of those pesky "ego issues". The age old conundrum in tinsel town: writer vs. director. Still, handing it over in it's entirety (save for rewrites) is what you have to do.

Like they say in the Hollywood chapter of "Alcoholics Anonymous"..."let go and let Spielberg".

Great job on this E!
