Antonioni died the same day as Bergman. My initiation into his films was with Blow-Up followed by L’ Avventura and La Notte, among others. You can preview and read excerpts from The Films of Michelangelo Antonioni here.
Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck fans will get a kick out of watching Blow-Up (1966) because there’s a sequence in the film where both guitarists are seen playing on stage - as The Yardbirds (scroll down to Beck/Page Lineup).
