This 1965 anti-pornography propaganda film was hosted by George Putman, the ‘outstanding news reporter’. And how is he not blind from the grueling research!

Oh my god, this is great!!

So they can show the barely obscured covers to the magazines as long as the girls eyes are not visible? I’m pretty sure that when teenage boys were made to watch this in the Sixties that it was the most skin they have ever seen up to that point in their lives.

Nicole: Yes! I tell you, comedy is best when it’s not intended to be comedy.
Jason: I’m sure Mr. Putnam did more for the business than any other. 15 million copies a month! The question is, has the attitude towards this (porn) changed much these days?
The other ridiculous req’ment, if you remember, in TV was to never have a couple on the same bed with both their feet up. At any time one or both of them had to have one foot planted on the ground.
Then again, the MPAA is the same shit. Bunch of talentless morons sitting in a room judging what should be NC-17 and what shouldn’t.

I don’t think there are any anti-porn PSA’s being produced, at least not in comparison to anti-drug and alcohol PSA’s. Perhaps the anti-porn propaganda was replaced with safe sex propaganda.
I’m thinking that looking at dirty magazines is hardly a problem, but teenagers having unprotected sex while snorting coke and shooting fuzzy navels is a problem these days.

Fuzzy navels…hmm… (scribble scribble)…gotta schedule that in. Seriously, though, what you’ve said is right on the money. Lot of parents work like major corporations; if you’ve screwed something up when you’re business was growing, you resort to blaming everything else for the rest of its existence.

“Very few blind people join nudist colonies…” classic.
All we get around here are anti-meth PSAs…what state’s showing the good stuff?

God Bless America!
A land spread not just over thousands of miles…but a people blessed with the right to express their viewpoints, no matter what they are……..and free to reject that which they do not agree with!

Wow, so much for the PSA’s of the 50’s. I wonder what our next generation will think when they see our “vintage porn” from 2007.
Go Internet!
SC 09.27.07 at 10:11 pm
Wow, that was hot. Need to watch that shit again.

I gotta tell you, I just watched a documentary on “deep throat” and they said that back in the day, they’d make these ersatz-sex ed films exactly for the purpose of showing sex without breaking the law. That is, they’d find a guy to play “the professor,” and he’d talk about how it was just TERRIBLE! and AWFUL! that people have sex like THIS HERE THAT I’M SHOWING YOU RIGHT NOW! It was a necessary workaround to get the porn out there.
This is a fine example of that form, I think. It’s pretty tame compared to the ones that the excerpted in the documentary!

Have anyone heard the Bastard Fairies’ song “Ode to a Prostitute”? I just realized that the song takes sound clips from this video. As for the actual video, I’d love to meet someone who had to watch a movie like this in school.
Emon 09.28.07 at 9:59 pm
Joe: Following up on your comment, I’d posted the PSA Don’t Copy That Floppy (link)
Martin, Patric, SC, and Dick: Thanks for the visit!
Amy: I didn’t get a chance to watch ‘Deep Throat.’ A more recent version of that would be Dr. Fill (I call him that) showing clips about ‘Bum Fights’, pretends he is disgusted and kicks out guest (link).
Rachel: I’ve heard of the song. It would be cool to find someone who has actually watched that in class.

Oh dear, does this mean I have to throw out all my porn?
including the one with the overtones of bestiality?
[but I like that one the most]
