Diamond has recently revealed the inspiration for the classic 1969 song was Caroline Kennedy; he’d seen a picture of her riding a pony [this??]. Hmm…”hands touching hands…reaching out…touching me, touching you.” I don’t know, perhaps this secret should’ve stayed one.
