On one hand, it makes me think that in the NY, umbrellas are disposable like paper coffee cups, but then that can't be right. So there must have been some brutal wind to take that kind of toll. What a great idea for a photo set! I wonder how many you would have found if you had spent the entire day wandering around...or the whole weekend! I haven't been out around San Diego yet with my camera but I'm thinking about forcing myself to head out before dawn a few times a week and get down near the beach or downtown for the early morning light.
