Mermaid Parade 2008
June 21, 2008 was a long and beautiful day for me. Starting with the building thing, then off to Governor’s Island hoping to catch some Punk Rock, and finally landing in Coney Island for the mermaid parade. Missed the parade completely but caught enough to make me happy. Wish I could do this everyday.

Fantastic set of photos, Emon. It was a great call to play with the saturation, it gave the photos a certain mood that I’m totally loving

I always say this, but this new set of photos is my favorite by far. You have a great talent for freezing in time those perfect moments and perfect expressions. Each photo stands alone, telling it’s own story. But they work together in a more significant way, drawing us into a world of fantasy to which we’d all like to escape every once in a while. Thanks for sharing!

My Bro-In-Law (who lives in Brooklyn) goes to it every year, without fail. Thanks for the fun shots of the non-parade
