Some weeks ago I’d written about my Monday night walks over 5th Ave, NYC, and the resulting cell-phone photo. I’ve joined a few Flickr groups over the months and had submitted to this one when they’d asked for two favorite picks. So I get a message this morning informing me that that pic has won first place in the contest. It may seem like nothing to many but a good number of people has seen the photo and taken the time to vote - that’s an incredible feeling. Thank you, guys!
If you visit the contest page, scroll down towards the bottom and see how many people have nominated me for what positions. While doing so, check out some beautiful, beautiful shots by other members. I’m amazed I even made the list.
I have to disclose that I’d taken myself off of the Group when my other cell phone pic was removed because an ‘f’ word (fucking) was in the picture . The Group showed class and still kept me in the contest; I should be understanding of their policies and not reacted the way I did but that sort of behavior on my part is not new. I checked today and the other pic is still up on the contest page.
I’m back in the Group.
