First time attending the marathon. I can’t believe I’ve been missing out for over 12 years. I’m proud to be a New Yorker but I take too long to get to things that make NY, NY. Took hundreds and hundreds of photos, out of which 145 remain (on Flickr). You can go check out that whole set, or you can a teaser slideshow here and, if you like what you see, check out the rest. The full set has some great shots that aren’t here so I guess you’re gonna have to 
If the batteries hadn’t died I’d have taken hundreds more. Next year. I’ll be more prepared with extra batteries and better lenses, or something. Lenses mean nothing if it ain’t in here (points to chest)

I’d like to do this someday. But since I get winded running around the block, maybe I’ll start by just attending the event

I so wish I could have been there! I had a good friend run the Olympic Trials the day before. Thanks for sharin the images1 Makes me feel more like I was there!

Nicole: You’ll have a lot of fun simply attending. So much is going on and cheers are so loud it’s amazing. It’s like a family event with 100,000 attending.
Sara: Great to see you drop by! There are some moments, when captured, (e.g. woman with the ‘You Look Hot’ sign, or the ‘Jesus Repent’ one) that makes it worth picking up a camera.

Pretty dope dude. I like the one of the guy running past the yellow background, the one of the little girl sleeping in the stroller, and the one of the old hairy dude with his left arm in the air.

Awesome photos! I ran the NYC marathon for the first time this year. One thing that surprised me as well as kept me going was the amount of support from spectators! Thank you for being there! I love the guy with the Finishing - it’s the only F&%$*&#* option sign. I cracked up when I passed him!
