…well, you can guess the rest. Google Maps’ Local Business Center lets you enter/update your business location, contact, URL, hours, pictures, and - get this - coupons! Once you’ve entered your biz info, Google will confirm your listing via phone, or they’ll send you a postcard. If you notice the marker is pointing at the wrong building, you can simply drag it to the right point. Have more than 10 businesses? Instead of uploading all of them one at a time, you can send Google an Excel file with that information. Pretty cool! Small businesses can benefit heavily from this feature.
I predict, once Google Page Creator graduates - they plan to in 2008 - businesses won’t bother paying to create websites, esp. the smaller businesses. Raise your hands if you, like me, already see the future of Page Creator, Maps, GrandCentral, Video, AdWords, AdSense, Products, Check-out, Feedburner, SMS, Docs & Spreadsheets etc. all coming together as one just for you - the one little buckaroo. I mean, some of them have started to already.
