Chapter Two: The End

by Emon Hassan on December 2, 2008

It was a bright Sunday morning. Valerie decided it would be a cake she’d bake to celebrate her year off from relationships. She thought it would be cool to wait till it’s 2:30 pm so it would be exactly a year.

She’s crazy like that.

At 11:42 am, however, the phone rings. Someone answering her ad on Craigslist about the tape deck she’d been trying to sell. His voice made her straighten her posture a little.

The tape deck never left her apartment. The man, Gary, first of all, knocked on her door at 2:11 p.m and ruined her planned celebration, then stayed in her life for a long time.

Rachel was born with both her parents by her side, graduated high-school with one of them away from her (she, though, blames her mother for the separation), and got married with no one related to her giving her away.

No one knows if Rachel saw her mother before she’d passed away. Gary was there. So was Tom.

If this all sounds too confusing, wait till you hear who Rachel’s husband is.

The End?
