Focus vs. Focus

by Emon Hassan on August 22, 2009

A good friend, like a good editor, knows you well enough to re-direct your focus when you go astray. A good friend, like a good editor, knows your potential, your weaknesses and knows how to

A dear friend of mine handed me my focus today. To use camera analogy, she told me I didn’t have to suffer the lens’s autofocus mode in low light because it struggles to focus and tries to settle on the brightest object visible. Instead, she suggested I flip the switch to manual focus and take control.

But the one thing she said that gave me a jolt was: ‘Picture yourself successful in what you want to do and start going in that direction.’ That was my holy shit moment.

The clutter cleared and the dark clouds revealed the beautiful full moon.

Thank you!
