How to Channel Anger into Spreading Happiness

I sometimes go to bed angry. I know I shouldn’t because it results in tossing and turning until I wear myself to sleep. Then I’ll wake up hung-over with anger and it’s always on a Monday morning. But something about it being a new day makes me ditch “I’m mad as hell and I can’t take it anymore” and challenge with “Bring it on, motherfuckers.” Swearing makes me happy. How about you? I’m talking about productive swearing. For example: I’d recently cursed someone out over the phone and it felt really good. He asked for it. I realized I’d been wanting to curse him out for a long time because he had been jerking me around and I’d been nice to him and endured his bullshit. On the one hand it was unfortunate – for him –  that he got cursed out by someone at least 20 years younger. On the other hand – for me – the bottle had been uncorked. I slept very well that night. I woke up next morning and eased my way to work; I’m usually rushing.  I had a happy work week. The guy didn’t fuck with me anymore and the issue was solved which made a few others happy. That made me happier.Moral of the story: If we take a piss and we take a dump each day to let the bad stuff out, we should too the toxic emotions and thoughts. But we should do so in a productive way. Throwing a tantrum and cursing out the wrong people for the wrong reasons after holding it in for a long time is like taking a dump in the living room of a friend’s apartment. The real moral of the story: Masturbation cures headache!
