Fix You

A few weeks ago I was playing this Coldplay song to a friend because I felt a certain way about someone. As you may know, my head-loops take over me. Looking up the video of the song I found the following clip. Watching the old man sing it made me feel like every verse was punching me in the gut. The same words that gave me joy about feeling new meant completely different to all the people on stage and all the people in the audience.

Man, I wasn’t ready to cry today.

Wow.

I was just having this conversation with a friend of mine at lunch today. This song is the FUCKING anthem of my life these days.

Powerful lyrics..their truth hit me like Scripture.

Here’s to living….and repairing.

Thanks for this, E!

Laurie.

You’re welcome, Laurie. Sometimes it takes looking at another person to find out who you are.

Coldplay is my favorite band of all times and Fix You is one of those songs that I can’t help but cry when I listen to. I came across that video same way you did.. by looking up the original video. It does give it a whole new meaning.
